Why participate?

  • Connect with UCOP colleagues
  • Motivate yourself to get active
  • Have an opportunity to win prizes

How it works:

  • Each day you’ll earn points based on how many steps you’ve taken. (You don’t have to wear a tracking device; plug in your activity and exercise minutes, then the Step Converter automatically adjusts them.)
  • Each day that you record your activity, you’ll unlock a seasonal thing or theme, with images and a trivia question (just for fun) about it.
  • Team participation is a friendly competition — and may be the most fun part! Follow your team’s ranking on the leaderboard and support, nudge, or give pep talks to each other on Team Chat.
  • If you’re on an official team, you’ll find an additional activity in your Thursday morning email and on the Team page. If you complete the Thrive Thursday challenge by midnight CT, you’ll earn a bonus point for your team (1 bonus point/team member each week).
  • Invite others to be your Spring Into Motion Friends. Once they accept, you can help each other stay accountable plus send encouraging messages, view progress, and enjoy the journey together.
  • Earn badges for things like logging activity on the weekend or completing the program evaluation.
  • Share your favorite hiking spot, or give a thumbs up to a friend who’s reached their goal on “the Buzz” — an interactive message board.
  • Record activity, view recipes, read articles or track your team right from the palm of your hand by downloading the Spring Into Motion mobile app. Log in using the same email and password to automatically sync with your online account. Download from Google Play or the iTunes App Store.

You can also download a shareable flyer (PDF). For questions, contact ucophcf-l@listserv.ucop.edu.
