UCOP Safety and the Building & Administrative Service Center have updated the Oakland garage to boost safety and efficiency.

New, improved doors

The garage now features new doors, which are more secure and can open more quickly — reducing overall wait times to enter.

As the pass readers are located directly above the garage door and aimed at the windshield of your car, we recommend placing the pass on your car’s dashboard for the best connection.

Garage access during the transition

• The garage doors will stay open on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 8 – 10 a.m. through Aug. 28. During this time, please familiarize yourself with where the garage pass readers are located; if you have any trouble locating them, you can ask one of the security guards to point it out.
• Beginning Sept. 3, we will resume regular operations with the garage doors closed during the morning arrival times; you will need to use your garage pass every time you enter the garage.
