Build your skills: The People Management Integrated Learning Program is back!

Whether you’re a new or aspiring people manager, you’re probably wondering what fundamental skills you’ll need to succeed when leading teams and how you can consistently — and effectively — demonstrate them.

The UCOP People Management Integrated Learning Program (PM-ILP) is designed to explore and expand people management skills and complements the online Systemwide People Management Series & Certificate. Participants will complete online courses individually and meet monthly as a cohort to apply the skills learned.

These sessions will include guest speakers, opportunities to share and learn best practices and additional resources. By the end of the series, each participant will demonstrate how they’ve used the knowledge, skills and abilities they’ve learned to become more impactful.

This program will give you the opportunity to:

  • Discuss management-related topics with UCOP colleagues
  • Practice and develop people management skills
  • Identify your strengths and personal management lens

This series is ideal for:

  • People managers who would like to learn essential skills that will help them be more effective in leading their teams
  • Individual contributors who anticipate moving into a people manager role in the next two years and want to acquire critical skills in advance to set themselves up for future success

  • Discuss this opportunity with your supervisor
  • Supervisors will need to submit a support form and agree to cover a $100 materials fee
