Wednesday: Colleagues will share firsthand experience of the UCOP promotion process

The President’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (PACSW) and the OP Staff Assembly (OPSA) are working together to ensure that UCOP staff understand our local promotions process.

Attend a Wednesday webinar

This Wednesday, Feb. 5,  they will present the second event in their two-part series on demystifying the UCOP promotions process. In a panel discussion, taking place from 12 – 1 p.m., you’ll have an opportunity to hear from UCOP colleagues who have firsthand experience with the promotion process. Our panelists will share their insights, challenges and success stories to help demystify the path to advancement. Panelists include:

  • JJ Lerma, Director, UCOP Compensation
  • Marjo Keller, Talent Acquisition Specialist, UCOP Human Resources
  • Jayme Morgan, Director of Talent Systems and Analytics, Systemwide Human Resources
  • Matt Reed, Analyst, Institutional Research and Planning

Watch the recording of last week’s webinar

On Jan. 29, Compensation Director JJ Lerma of UCOP Human Resources provided UCOP employees with valuable insights into navigating the promotion process. The session covered key steps, document preparation, timelines and clarified expectations. There was also an engaging Q&A segment where attendees asked in-depth questions that were handled with thoughtful and practical responses. Watch the full event recording on Box (log in required).

Review the fact sheet

PACSW and OPSA colleagues have put together a one-page fact sheet (Box link) that seeks to demystify the promotion process at UCOP.
