Take Our Kids to Work Day needs presenters: Sign up to take part

The Take Our Kids to Work Day (TOKTWD) planning committee is deep in the process of making arrangements for this year’s event, which will take place on April 22 in Oakland and at UCPath. Registration for families will open in early March for srtudents from first grade through high school.
Get involved
This event — which is hugely popular among staff and their families — is dependent on departments to prepare staff presentations. Whether or not your department has participated before, we encourage you to consider taking part.
How it works:
- Students participate in three sessions throughout the day. Your team can choose to present during one session, two, or all three. All involvement is welcome!
- Students are divided by age group as they move throughout the day. Your team can request a particular age range to best fit your desired presentation.
- The TOKTWD committee can offer detailed presentations and a collaborative guide to help you envision and create a memorable presentation for the kids of UCOP.
Need some ideas to get started? Some popular presentations have included:
- Learning about the human body with a replica skeleton (UC Health)
- Video production animating kids’ drawings (Communications)
- Learning to make smoothies and overnight oats for good nutrition (UC ANR)
- Creating mini zines with maps (IRAP)
