Let’s talk about menopause: Join an FSAP wellness webinar

Menopause can affect physical and emotional well-being, work and relationships, yet it can still be difficult to find reliable information — or even know where to start the conversation.
On Thursday, Aug. 27, from 12 – 1 p.m., join the UCOP/UCSF Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) for Let’s Talk about Menopause: Understanding Menopause and Finding Support.
This one-hour informational webinar is for anyone who wants to better understand menopause, whether you’re preparing for or experiencing the transition, navigating life after menopause or supporting someone else.
The session will cover:
- The basics of the menopausal transition
- Current research and the impact of misinformation
- Resources for managing physical and psychological experiences
- Support for people who feel isolated or are navigating complex post-menopausal experiences
- Ways to learn more and support others

About the presenter
Jessica Allanson, Ph.D., M.A., is a licensed clinical psychologist with UCSF’s Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, where she also leads the FSAP Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program. Her work focuses on areas including workplace burnout and recovery from substance use, particularly among people in high-intensity work environments. She brings skill-based learning and organizational psychology strategies to her work with individuals, teams and leaders.
