Complete your required training on workplace violence prevention by Dec. 20

California Senate Bill No. 553 requires employers to provide employees with training on their workplace violence prevention plan. The training aims to help members of the UC community understand and report workplace violence and recognize and respond to escalating behavior.

The 20-minute UC Workplace Violence Prevention training launched on Nov. 20, 2024. All staff must complete the training by Dec. 20.

How to access the training

Training outcomes

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Define workplace violence under California state law
  • Be familiar with the elements of the Workplace Violence Prevention program at your location
  • Report incidents of workplace violence through appropriate channels
  • Access resources and services at your location for additional assistance and training
