UCOP staff have free access to LinkedIn Learning, an online learning platform with thousands of expert-led courses on topics like leadership, people management, technology, creative skills, workplace communication and more.

LinkedIn Learning is designed to fit into your schedule. You can complete a full course, explore a learning path or watch a short video when you have just a few minutes to spare. The platform also offers personalized recommendations based on your interests, job function and industry trends. UCOP staff can activate their free account using single sign-on.

You do not need a personal LinkedIn account to use LinkedIn Learning. Connecting your personal account is optional, and UCOP will not have access to your private LinkedIn account or activities.

Practice real workplace conversations with AI Role Play

AI Role Play, one of LinkedIn Learning’s newer tools, gives UCOP staff a low-risk way to prepare for important workplace interactions — from offering feedback and discussing workload to asking for support on a new idea.

Here’s how to try it:

• Log in to your LinkedIn Learning account through LinkedIn Learning or UCOP’s portal
• Select AI Role Play from the left-hand navigation menu
• Choose a pre-built scenario or create your own by briefly describing the situation, such as requesting feedback, asking for a raise or navigating a difficult discussion
• Respond to the prompts by text or voice
• Review a transcript and actionable suggestions to help strengthen your tone, clarity, empathy and approach.
