Learn about UCOP’s leadership-development cohorts
UCOP offers many opportunities for staff at all levels to gain leadership skills. Two of the most popular learning cohorts are the Aspiring Leaders Development Program (ALD) and People Management Integrated Learning Program (PM-ILP).
Applications for both programs are due Dec. 9: Apply to ALD or Apply to PM-ILP
To learn more about each program, attend a 30-minute information session. Select each column heading to register. Sessions are listed in Pacific Time.

Programs overview
Both ALD and PM-ILP tend to attract staff at similar levels in their careers, but there are a few key differences that set them apart. If you’ve been trying to determine which is best for you, here are some guidelines to help you decide.

========= The ALD program includes five two-hour interactive workshops that are organized around research-based practices on the key skills that differentiate effective leaders. Workshops focus on ‘tipping point’ skills — small changes that can quickly make a big impact. |
========= PM-ILP complements the online People Management Series and Certificate program. Participants take online courses in a designated sequence, then meet monthly as a cohort to deepen their knowledge. Cohort sessions include guest speakers, opportunities to engage in best practices with peers and resources for workplace use. |
