Get the facts on UC’s whistleblower policies and protections

The University has a responsibility to conduct its affairs ethically and in compliance with the law. If you suspect that a UC employee is engaged in improper governmental activities, you should know that UC has policies to "blow the whistle" and to protect you from retaliation if the need arises.

Nominate yourself or your colleague to run for one of eight open positions for a two-year term on the Staff Assembly Steering Committee. UCOP offices closed June 18

Don’t forget that UCOP offices will be closed for a furlough day on Friday, June 18. Employees who have already used all their furlough time, and those employees who are exempt from the program, should make arrangements with their managers or supervisors to use vacation time, leave without pay, or comp time, during the closure.

Shout-Out to Ravinder Singh

Ravinder Singh was elected last week to be Chair-Elect of the Council of UC Staff Assemblies (CUCSA), which includes representatives from each UC campus, as well as the Lawrence Berkeley Lab and the Office of the President. This is a very exciting leadership opportunity, as CUCSA continues its work among staff systemwide to improve communication, morale and other key issues. Congratulations, Ravinder!!

This new online document will help you understand the role of the manager or leader in a virtual team and how to effectively manage these teams. To download this resource, log in to the UC Learning Center (http://www.ucop.edu/ucoplearningcenter/) with your UCOP username and password. Search for "managing virtual teams" and click the green Start button.
