UC will ask the Regents to raise employee UCRP contributions to 6.5 percent of covered salary, effective July 1, 2013, under a proposal to be considered at the November Regents meeting. UC would contribute 12 percent.
Candidates are being sought for UC's 2011 Business Officer Institute, scheduled for Nov. 28 through Dec. 1, at the Irvine Marriott. Nominations for UCOP's 10 slots must be received by the close of business this Friday, Oct. 28.

Fourteen UC members have been elected to the Institute of Medicine, one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine. They join 65 new members, five foreign associates and more than 200 UC-affiliated members who have been named since 1970.
