New UCOP Screen requirement starting July 20

As part of our COVID-19 response and return to on-site operations plans, UCOP is rolling out new protocols to create greater awareness of our COVID-19 guidelines and support employee health and safety. Similar protocols are in place on many campuses and in the broader community to help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus. As mentioned in a previous article, the UCOP Screen symptom screening survey will now be required for all staff to access UCOP facilities starting Monday, July 20, 2020.

Staff that are currently working on-site and department move coordinators will receive an email this week with additional instructions and a link to UCOP Screen. If you are planning to visit the office to pick up equipment or personal belongings, or any other reason, complete UCOP Screen.

UCOP Screen can be completed on a laptop or mobile device. In addition, UCOP Screen computer stations will be available in the lobby or other designated area at your location. To avoid congestion, UCOP Screen stations are reserved for staff who either forgot to complete UCOP Screen prior to coming to the office or do not have access to a computer/mobile device at home. Sanitizing wipes will be available to wipe down the computers before and after use. UCOP Screen data will be stored securely and access will be strictly limited. UCOP Screen survey results will be reviewed and compared to security badge-in reports to ensure only approved employees access UCOP facilities.

Preparing for UCOP Screen

  • You should not come to work if you’re experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, or are feeling sick.
  • UCOP Screen will walk you through a few questions and let you know if you’re approved to enter UCOP facilities. If you are, please proceed to the office and be ready to show your clearance confirmation to security if requested.
  • If you are not approved, you cannot work on-site or enter UCOP facilities and must contact your supervisor and Human Resources for next steps.
  • UCOP Screen will ask for your employee ID. We recommend that you look up this information in advance. You can find your employee ID through your UCPath portal in the upper right hand corner.

UCOP Guidance on Coronavirus and On-site Operations training

All UCOP staff will be required to take the UCOP Guidance on Coronavirus and On-site Operations training which will include more information about your role and responsibilities helping to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus while in our facilities. The training will be available starting next week and more information will be shared in the July 21 Link.

To stay up-to-date, join our new monthly UCOP COVID-19 Response Open Forum series starting July 21, 2020.
