The new logo associated with UC Vita Health Plans

Vita is the Latin word for “life” and the root word of “vitality” — the state of being strong and active. Beginning during the Open Enrollment period for 2023 benefits plans, certain UC  health plans will be included under the umbrella name of UC Vita Health Plans.

This new name reflects the University of California Health’s commitment to supporting members’ health and well-being, with choice and flexibility designed around the needs of employees and their families. It highlights a renewed focus on the member experience and personalized member support. This includes innovations like a new partnership for PPO plans administered by Anthem Blue Cross with a health care navigator, which will be announced soon.

Look out for more information about UC Vita within the next few weeks as we begin introducing 2023 benefits options for Open Enrollment. Please note that UC continues to offer Kaiser Permanente plans.
