New printers are coming to the Oakland Franklin and Broadway buildings
IT Client Services is refreshing shared printer/copiers that have exceeded their support lives.
The most-utilized devices will be refreshed first; we expect to complete the refresh by January 2025.
Each expired unit will be replaced with one of the following three new models: Altalink C8145, Altalink C8170 or Versalink C405.
As with the previous generation, the new devices will include the following features:
- Printing
- Scanning to email
- Copying
- Faxing (in select locations)
The scan-to-email function will operate slightly differently, so please take a moment to familiarize yourselves with the new procedures detailed on the ITS Printing Services webpage.
As always, if you require technical support, you may feel free to call Xerox directly using the number posted by the copiers. Alternatively, you may submit a ticket in Service Now or call the Service Desk at 510-987-0457. Paper can also be requested in Service Now.
Please conserve paper and reduce costs by choosing the double-sided print option whenever possible.
