Influencing Without Authority: Leadership as an Individual Contributor
July 9, 10 – 11:30 a.m.
According to author and CEO coach Kim Scott, there are two types of star employees: “superstars” and “rockstars.” While superstars are gunning for promotions, rockstars are grounding themselves as experts in their roles. According to recent research, most individual contributors (62%) plan to stay in IC roles rather than becoming managers. If you’re an IC, learn how to take ownership of your career growth, leverage your expertise and make an impact — without climbing the ladder.

Subtle Acts of Exclusion
July 16, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The term “microaggression” has become widely used, yet it is just as widely misunderstood. Join us as we reframe microaggressions as subtle acts of exclusion (SAE). Explore the SAE framework, learn how to interrupt SAEs, engage colleagues in discussion and reflect on how our socialization impacts our outlook, attitudes and behaviors.

Reflective Listening
July 18, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Reflective listening is key to better communication and better workplace performance. When you help fulfill colleagues’ fundamental need to feel heard and understood, you can more easily resolve or avert problems while building trust and psychological safety. Whether you’re a leader or a team member, this is an essential workplace skill to learn and practice.
