Apply for the UCOP Mentorship Program by January 3
The UCOP Mentorship Program is seeking mentees and mentors for its next annual program, taking place from January through December 2025. The UCOP Mentorship Program is a meaningful opportunity to share and learn career skills and leadership practices, guide and navigate the UCOP culture and establish lasting professional relationships. The 2025 program will offer in-person and remote options to meet the needs of mentors and mentees.
The program’s goal is to create mentor-mentee pairings that provide a supportive structure for UCOP employees to cultivate contacts, explore challenges, and enhance their effectiveness as they grow personally and professionally.
Apply to participate as a mentee
The mentorship program is open to all employees who have been at UCOP for at least six months. If you’re interested in becoming a mentee, complete the Mentee Application by Jan. 3, 2025. Please note that priority will be given to those who have not previously participated as mentees.
Share your interest in becoming a mentor
If you’re an experienced UCOP leader or staff member with at least one year of UCOP service, we encourage you to participate as a mentor. This is a rewarding opportunity to share your talents by helping others with their professional and career development. Previous mentees are welcome to participate as mentors. If you’re interested in being a mentor for the 2025 program, please complete the Mentor Interest Form.
What are past participants saying about the program?
From a mentee: “I had a lot of valuable career guidance and coaching from my mentor. The support from my mentor, mentee cohort and Mentorship Program leader made my journey a great experience. I highly recommend the Mentorship Program to anyone who is interested in personal growth and building connections within the UCOP community.”
From a mentor: “I think I learned as much or more than my mentee!”
More than 95% of program participants rated the program 4 or 5 out of 5. Over 96% of mentees stated that their mentor helped them reach their program goals.
