Managing and Organizing your Email Inbox – Microsoft Outlook

Learn powerful tips and techniques that can save you hours and help you get better results from email communication! We’ll cover practical Microsoft Outlook features, including using flags, categories, calendar items and tasks to track action emails; using advanced searches to easily find information; and organizing and archiving messages for future reference. Get useful strategies for transforming email into a productivity tool.
Navigating Change and Transitions

Change is the only constant in life! Explore the human response to change and stages within the transition process. Expand your capability to successfully navigate personal and professional changes with the William Bridges’ Transition Model and Psychological Flexibility Framework.
Project Management for Non-Project Managers

Enhance your project management skills to better manage projects of all kinds. While we’ll cover traditional project management concepts, this session is focused on innovative insights and practical techniques to revolutionize managing projects of all sizes.
Box Fundamentals
Jan. 22, 10 – 11 a.m.
Get an overview of Box, our cloud-based file storage and file sharing service. We’ll cover how to use Box, collaborating within and outside of UCOP, file comments, folder permissions, shared links and more. IT administrators will answer your questions and review Box’s best features.
New Employee Orientation
Jan. 23, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Starting a new job or at a new UC location can be daunting. This orientation session is designed to facilitate your smooth transition to UCOP. Topics include UC and its history, UCOP overview, employee tools and resources, safety and compliance.
GROW Plus: Accountability Conversations for Managers
Jan. 28, 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
In the second part of the required live training series on manager and employee performance conversations, we’ll answer the question: “What do I do when my coaching is not improving performance?” This highly interactive workshop will cover providing productive critical feedback, managing emotions, creating efficient documentation and holding effective accountability conversations. You’ll also practice having Accountability Conversations using the UCOP GROW Plus framework. Previous STEP trainings are all prerequisites.
Reflective Listening
Jan. 31, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Reflective listening is a necessary skill for today’s workplace and the key to better communication and better workplace performance. People have a fundamental need to feel heard and understood. Addressing this need helps to more easily solve or avert problems while growing trust and psychological safety. Learn the fundamentals of reflective listening so you can start practicing today.
