An Expressive Arts Webinar for Navigating Uncertainty
Thursday, May 14, 12– 1 p.m.
Although we are living in a time of ongoing uncertainty, it is also one of creativity, connection and unexpected joy. Led by Drs. Leanna Reyes, Tina X. Wang and Sabina Brown of the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, this webinar invites attendees to explore this tension. We’ll begin with a warm, accessible look at what uncertainty does to our minds and bodies — and why learning to hold mixed emotions is a skill, not a personality trait. Then, we’ll participate in a guided mandala exercise (no artistic experience needed!) followed by a short poetry-writing exercise.

The Psychology of Journaling and Wellbeing
Wednesday, May 20, 12– 1 p.m.
Putting words to the feelings we carry can be powerful. Led by Nicolas Bob, PsyD, a licensed clinical psychologist and staff psychologist at California College of the Arts, this one-hour journaling workshop will explore the science behind journaling, learn four ways to journal and spend time writing together in a low-pressure, judgment-free space. All are welcome — previous journaling experience is not needed.

Drowning in To-Do Lists: A New Way to Think About Getting Things Done
Thursday, May 28, 12– 1 p.m.
When we feel overwhelmed by to-do lists, it impacts our capacity to manage tasks and find sustainable balance. In this workshop, led by Sophia Sandhu, licensed psychologist at the UC Davis Academic and Staff Assistance Program, we’ll review scientific research on how stress impacts regulation and functioning, barriers to managing stress and functional ways to manage it. This webinar draws on ideas and inspiration from “How to Keep House While Drowning” by KC Davis, LPC.
