Feb. 9 class on employee role in performance appraisals

Learn to prepare your self-appraisal, play an active role in the evaluation process and build a productive relationship with your supervisor in this Feb. 9 workshop from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. To Sign Up: Log in to the UC Learning Center at http://www.ucop.edu/ucoplearningcenter/ with your UCOP user name and password. Prof. Carolyn de la Peña, author of Empty Pleasures, will talk about artificial sweeteners at 12 p.m. Feb. 9 in Franklin Bldg, Room 5320. Can't come in person? Among first-year students at UC medical schools, underrepresented minorities have increased to 23 percent of students this year, up from 14 percent in 2001 and outpacing the national average.
