UC Regents on Monday approved President Yudof's recommended changes to post-employment benefits. They also endorsed the principles of the final report from the UC Commission on the Future, which was created to develop a new vision that preserves excellence and access as the university navigates the state's fiscal crisis. A program that helps Afghan war widows build economic self-sufficiency got a nice boost from the annual holiday crafts fair, with more than $2,100 in sales of their handmade jewelry. Jan Corlett, who organized the sale, sends a heartfelt thanks to the UCOP community from the Kabul Women Skills Development Association.
