Craft Fair Thursday

Handmade quilts, fabulous scarves, ceramics, greeting cards, candles, and jewelry – lots of jewelry. That’s just a sampling of the wares available at the annual UCOP holiday crafts fair, which takes place this Thursday, Dec. 10.


UCSF Medical Group Changes Reminder

For employees and/or their dependents enrolled in Health Net or Anthem Blue Cross Plus, and affected by the UCSF Medical group change in affiliation to Hill Physicians, there is still time to change your primary care provider and/or your medical group. Changes must be made prior to 12/15/09 to be effective 1/1/10.


UC Awards Honorary Degrees

During World War II, 700 Japanese American UC students were interned and forced from school. Many never returned to complete their degrees. UC is now welcoming them back to receive honorary degrees. Lunch with Astronomers this Friday

On Friday, December 4, learn about the 100-year history of UC's observatories, the discoveries made by UC astronomers and the plans for the next-generation Thirty-Meter Telescope at a lunch-time talk.


Students protest at UCOP

On Monday about 60 UC students occupied the lobby of the Franklin building to protest the recent fee increases and campus cuts and layoffs. The students spent two hours sitting on the lobby floor having a dialogue with UC Provost Lawrence Pitts and Nathan Brostrom.
