Employee Engagement Survey town hall wrap-up and links
Thank you to all staff who attended and participated in the Aug. 18 town hall on UCOP’s 2021 Employee Engagement Survey results. More than 500 colleagues joined us on Zoom, making it one of our best-ever attended survey results events.
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rachael Nava hosted the town hall and was joined by the following UCOP leaders:
- Thera Kalmijn, Executive Director, UCOP Operations
- Nancy Pluzdrak, Executive Director, UCOP Human Resources
- Lalitha Sankaran, Director, Office of Workplace Inclusion & Belonging
- OP Staff Assembly representatives
— Trish Dolan, Regents Coordinator in the CFO division
— Tony Yang, Program Policy Analyst, UC Health
The presenters dove into the 2021 UCOP survey results, sharing opportunities for improvement, strengths and most improved areas. They explored data from the perspectives of different employee groups, including supervisors, staff of various tenure lengths, staff who selected “gender unknown,” and staff who identified as Black/African-American.
Presenters shared an action plan to address areas of the survey results that are opportunities for improvement by building a culture where all employees feel comfortable voicing their thoughts, opinions and concerns, and know they will be heard. In partnership with Callale Concon, UCOP Ombudsperson, we will use the 3Practice Circle methodology. Look out for more information soon about how you can attend a 3Practice Circle session.
Following the presentation, speakers answered live-submitted questions from UCOP staff. In Rachael’s closing remarks, she encouraged everyone to start having conversations with colleagues and to join and actively participate in one of UCOP’s Employee Resource Groups.
