VP Cheryl Lloyd announces her retirement from UCOP
On Thursday, July 24, Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Rachael Nava announced that Cheryl Lloyd, Vice President of Systemwide Human Resources, will be retiring from the University of California after more than 27 years of service at the Office of the President.
Cheryl will retire later this fiscal year, allowing sufficient time for Rachael to complete a formal search process for her replacement. Until that time, Cheryl will be fully engaged with Rachael and UCOP leadership in the planning process for this significant leadership transition, and in continuing the important work of her office.
Rachael intends to begin a national search for Cheryl’s successor, pending the UCOP exception approval process for this hire during the hiring freeze.
“I know you will join me in heartfelt appreciation for Cheryl,” said Rachael. “We will organize an event to celebrate her career and contributions closer to her final work date.”
Link will share updates on plans to celebrate Cheryl in the coming months.
