We are closing in on the end of the 2025-26 fiscal year performance cycle! Your final STEP Check-in conversation with your manager (Finalize Criteria) must take place by March 27. Read last week’s article for everything you need to know about wrapping up last year’s cycle.
This week, we’re looking ahead to the 2026-27 fiscal year performance cycle, which is just around the corner. During your first Check-in, you’ll set your goals and competencies for the upcoming year.
For extra help and insight into this process, register for STEP: Goals and Competencies, taking place via Zoom on Tuesday, April 14, from 1 to 2 p.m. (PT). This instructor-led training on the Staff Talent Evaluation Process (STEP) will expand on the materials presented in the STEP Fundamentals for Employees eCourse by going into detail on the first stage of STEP, Define Criteria. You will practice writing goals and review how to align them to the UCOP Competencies. This course is designed to support new employees and employees who would like a refresher to elevate their STEP goals.
