Check out the new class schedule from UCOP’s Learning and Development

UCOP’s Learning and Development offers a variety of classes, from software training to project management to presentation skills. Why not look into taking one in the next few months?

In-person classes currently on the schedule include:

  • Excel 2016 (five levels)
  • SharePoint (three levels)
  • Presentation Skills
  • Halogen for Beginners
  • Halogen for Managers
  • Project Management series (three classes)
  • Influencing Without Authority

Note: To support the UCOP upgrade to Windows 10 and Office 2016, all software classes moving forward will be offered using Office 2016.

The UC Learning Center (UCLC) also includes many self-paced e-courses on topics such as communication, supervision, influencing, and creating SMART goals, to name a few. Use the “Find a Course” button to search for a topic you’re interested in learning about. If a session is not currently available, you can “express interest” and be notified when the course is scheduled.

To sign up for in-person classes and view e-courses, visit the UC Learning Center. The site is updated regularly as new courses are added.

Visit the UCOP Learning and Development Page for course descriptions and schedules. Upcoming UCOP courses are also listed on Link’s Classes and Workshops page as well as Link’s monthly calendar pages.

All staff is encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities for professional development and skills building. Managers may wish to recommend courses for their direct reports to take for tackling current responsibilities as well as preparing for growth and changes in the work environment. Providing opportunities for individuals to learn and grow in their careers, as well as building organizational capability and talent is a priority at OP.
