UCOP Learning and Development is working to boost employees’ mental and emotional well-being by offering mindfulness-based trainings. Whether you’re interested in learning for one hour, throughout several cohort sessions or at your own pace, there are options for you!
One-hour training
Mindfulness at UCOP
August 28, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. (PT)
Learn simple mindfulness techniques that can help reduce stress and improve focus. This beginner-friendly workshop will explain how mindfulness differs from meditation and introduce practical techniques you can use during the workday.
Seven-week cohort
Mindfulness Meditation to Reduce Stress, Anxiety, & Burnout at Work

Sessions take place on Friday mornings from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. (PT), Sept. 11 through Oct. 23, 2026.
Grow and develop skillful strategies for navigating challenges, stress and anxiety at work by applying for UCOP’s highly-rated seven-session cohort. This impactful online series is facilitated by renowned trainer and mindfulness expert Pierre Khawand from People-OnTheGo. Over seven weeks, an intimate group of colleagues will meet virtually to learn mindfulness techniques and practices, participate in guided meditations and engage in lively discussions. - FSAP Clinical Director Dr. Ana Dolatabadi has made several of her guided meditations available on Box. She also recommends the book “Living with Your Heart Wide Open: How Mindfulness and Compassion Can Free You from Unworthiness, Inadequacy and Shame,” by Steve Flowers, MFT, and Bob Stahl, Ph.D.
