On May 20, the UC Board of Regents approved Dr. Juan Sánchez Muñoz’s appointment as UC Merced’s fourth chancellor. A first-generation college graduate and UC alum, Muñoz comes to UC from the University of Houston-Downtown, where he has served as president since 2017.
